Local 1746a was able to get its story out concerning Pratt and Whtiney's announcement that it is considering closing the Cheshire Engine Center. Up to 150 members of Local 1746A were present during the July 24th press conference that was held in Kensington. Following the Union leaderships briefing to the press, our members were able to provide personal insights concerning Pratt and Whitney's announcement. Media comments included bylines noting the level of solidarity coming out of Local 1746a on this critical issue.
